Otomato for Aerodrome

What you need to monitor

Providing concentrated liquidity on Aerodrome requires attention. Your capital only earns fees when price stays within your range. On top of that, you need to stay aware of security risks, depegs, and market news that could impact your positions. On Aerodrome, your AERO emissions also depend on a weekly vote you don't control, and only accrue while your liquidity is staked in a gauge.

What Otomato watches for you

Otomato automatically detects your Aerodrome LP positions, gauge stakes and veAERO locks and monitors the signals that matter, alerting you only when action may be required.

Position out of range

When price moves outside your liquidity range, your capital stops earning fees and stops accruing AERO emissions. The longer you stay out of range, the more opportunity cost you accumulate.

Otomato tracks your LP positions and alerts you when price exits your range or comes back in range.

Example notifications

  • "Your ETH/USDC position is now out of range. Current price: $4,312. Your range: $3,800 - $4,200."

  • "Your ETH/USDC position is back in range."

Security issues

Smart contract exploits and vulnerabilities can put your LP funds at risk. When incidents occur, acting fast can make the difference between protecting your capital or losing it.

Otomato monitors security feeds and alerts you immediately if Aerodrome or any of your LP tokens are potentially affected.

Example notifications

  • "A vulnerability has been reported on Aerodrome Slipstream. View source."

  • "One of the LIDO security keys might have been compromised. View source."

Liquidity not staked in a gauge

On Aerodrome, providing liquidity and earning AERO emissions are two separate steps. An LP position that isn't staked in its gauge still collects trading fees but receives no emissions, which on most pools is the larger part of the yield.

Otomato detects unstaked LP positions and alerts you when one is sitting outside its gauge.

Example notifications

  • "Your AERO/USDC position is not staked in a gauge and is not earning AERO emissions."

  • "Your WETH/cbBTC position has been unstaked from its gauge."

Emissions and reward rate changes

Emissions on Aerodrome are redistributed every epoch by veAERO voters, so the reward rate on your pool can move sharply from one Thursday to the next. A gauge can also be killed by governance, which stops emissions to that pool entirely.

Otomato tracks the emissions directed to the pools you're in and alerts you when the reward rate moves materially or when a gauge you're staked in is killed.

Example notifications

  • "Emissions on the ETH/USDC pool dropped 46% this epoch. Reward APR is now 12.4%, down from 23.1%."

  • "The gauge for the AERO/wstETH pool has been killed. The pool no longer receives AERO emissions."

Unclaimed rewards

AERO emissions, trading fees and voting incentives accrue continuously but never claim themselves. Positions are often left with rewards sitting unclaimed for weeks.

Otomato tracks what has accrued on your positions and alerts you when unclaimed rewards build up.

Example notifications

  • "You have 1,240 AERO ($312) unclaimed on your ETH/USDC gauge position."

  • "You have unclaimed trading fees on 3 Aerodrome positions."

Voting window and epoch flip

Each epoch runs from Thursday 00:00 UTC to Wednesday 23:59 UTC. veAERO holders who don't vote during an epoch receive no trading fees and no voting incentives for that week, and the vote can't be cast retroactively.

Otomato detects your veAERO locks and alerts you when the voting window is about to close without a vote cast.

Example notifications

  • "The current epoch ends in 12 hours and your veAERO lock hasn't voted yet."

  • "A new epoch has started. Your veAERO voting power is 48,200."

Lock expiry

A veAERO lock decays over time and stops earning fees, incentives and rebases once it expires. Voting power also shrinks continuously as the unlock date approaches.

Otomato monitors your lock duration and alerts you ahead of expiry.

Example notifications

  • "Your veAERO lock expires in 7 days. Voting power: 12,400."

  • "Your veAERO lock has expired and no longer earns fees or incentives."

Depeg alerts

If one of your LP assets loses its peg, your position can quickly become unbalanced and suffer significant losses. This is especially critical for stablecoin or liquid staking token pairs.

Otomato monitors the peg of assets in your positions and alerts you when deviations occur.

Example notifications

  • "USDC is depegging and currently trading at $0.993."

  • "stETH is depegging and currently trading at 0.98 ETH."

Asset-specific news

Major news about assets in your LP positions can trigger significant price movements and impact your position.

Otomato detects which assets you're providing liquidity for and surfaces relevant news as soon as it's announced.

Example notifications

  • "Aerodrome and Velodrome announced their merger into a unified liquidity layer. View source."

  • "Coinbase announced new incentives for cbBTC liquidity on Base. View source."

Large price movements (optional)

Otomato tracks significant price movements on the assets in your LP positions and alerts you when they occur.

This one isn't enabled by default, but you can enable at any time on your Otomato dashboard

Example notifications

  • "ETH moved +8.2% in the last hour."

  • "AERO dropped -12% in the last 30 minutes."
